After years of dedicating their time and efforts to the Pembroke Pines Charter soccer program, it is finally time to honor and recognize the Class of ‘26 seniors for their accomplishments and the memories from their years as a Jaguar soccer player.

Senior night, a yearly transition, for both the boys’ and girls’ varsity soccer teams was celebrated on January 15 at the Jaguars’ last home game of the season. The Lady Jags faced off against Pompano Beach, leaving with a victory of 8-0. Every senior left their mark on the field as they put the ball in the back of the net.
Senior Amanda Fernandez notes, “It felt so great scoring on my senior night! It will be a night I will remember forever.”
The boys varsity team also had a 2-0 victory against Pompano Beach, with a goal being scored by senior Julian Iodice.
“Getting to score on senior night was so special, and it was a great way to celebrate my career here at Pines Charter,” notes Iodice. These wins definitely made the night even more special for the seniors.
Senior night is a night where seniors are given speeches and send-off letters from their coaches, families, and teammates as they are announced on the speakers. Then, there is usually a photo backdrop, which they take pictures with friends and family in front of.
Seniors receive gift baskets made by their teammates, full of candy, snacks, and even specially made senior jackets to show the underclassmen’s appreciation for them and everything they have done for the Jaguars soccer program during their high school years.

Reflecting on her five years as a Lady Jag, captain Catalina Castro adds that playing soccer for Pines Charter was “one of [her] favorite parts of [her] high school experience.”
Castro has won two district championships with the Lady Jags and has been a key player with 13 goals and 25 assists throughout her career here at Pines Charter.
