The Claw: Week 37

Welcome back, Jaguars! Thank you for tuning in to week thirty-seven of The Claw spring sports edition. Last week was an eventful one, as many of our Jaguar athletic programs competed in several games. Let’s get straight into last week’s athletic report.

 

Claws out: Lady Jags softball

Last week, the Lady Jags varsity softball team went 1-0 as they competed in the regional quarterfinals at home against the Heritage Panthers on Thursday, May 7, and won 10-0.

They currently stand with a record of 19-8, and this week they are scheduled to compete in the regional semifinals at home against Legacy High School on Tuesday, May 12, @6 pm.

 

Jaguars track sprinting into the season

Last week, the Jaguars track team competed in states in Jacksonville on Friday, May 8. Junior Adam Steward placed eighth in the 1,600-meter run. 

The Jaguars have officially concluded their season and do not have any more meets scheduled. 

 

Jaguars boys’ volleyball: claws in the net

Last week, the Jaguars boys’ volleyball team competed in the regional semifinals at home against Belen Jesuit on Tuesday, May 5, and lost 2-3.

They hold a record of 14-7 and have officially concluded their season.
