Senior year is said to be one of the most memorable years of high school, but at what cost? The final year out of the four is full of events. Students are eager to experience occasions such as grad bash, senior assassin, prom, and more. However, the amount of money spent to participate in every event is considerable.
Even though events are spread throughout the year, costs add up almost immediately. Senior year is full of traditions that lots of seniors want to contribute to, so the students are most likely to pay in order to get the full senior year experience. Seniors are also spending their final months with their friends before what kids are now calling “the great separation”, also known as leaving for college.
“It’s our most expensive year. We have a lot of fun events I’ve looked forward to, but every dollar was well spent.” – Valentina Fonseca, senior
“It definitely hurt my bank account, but it was all worth it.” – Abigail Reynolds, senior
“It’s very expensive, so for the upcoming seniors, make sure to be prepared.” – Kayla Suarez, senior
“Get your money up.” – Godly Thomas, senior
I think it’s important to pick and choose which event to go to if you wanna save your money. It’s easy to spend a lot of money quickly, though, so be careful. – Jesse Cisneros, senior
I definitely recommend getting a source of income. Having a job has really helped fund these events like prom and even stuff out of school. – Valeria Perez, senior
