From the moment visitors entered the Southwest Regional Library parking lot, they were greeted by a burst of color, music, and activity. The Storybook Festival turned the library into an energetic and exciting event for all ages to enjoy.
This event offered a wide range of activities for both children and parents alike. Kids lined up for face painting and air-brush tattoos, while live music added to the energetic atmosphere. On top of that the fire department parked a fire truck next to the library and gave tours.
Many attendees, including library staff, came dressed as their favorite storybook characters, adding to the festival’s charm. Those story book characters gave live storytelling around the library, adding to that magical feeling reading brings to us all.
The joys of characters being brought to life was one of the aims of the storybook festival, yet it achieved something else. It brought to life the magic in reading.
