Welcome back, Jaguars! Thank you for tuning in to week twenty-four of The Claw winter sports edition. As winter sports begin to wrap up, some of our spring sports begin their season this week. Last week was an eventful one as many of our Jaguar athletic programs competed in several games. Let’s get straight into last week’s athletic report.
Jags soccer Protecting the Den
Last week, the Jags boys’ soccer team competed in the regional quarter-finals against Coconut Creek High School on Friday, February 6. They left with a Jaguar victory of 3-0.
The Jags boys soccer team now stands with a record of 9-5-3, and is ranked #145 in Florida. They continue their postseason run as they compete in the regional semi-finals this week. The game is at Archbishop McCarthy High School on Thursday, February 12 @6pm.

Lady Jags on the Prowl
Last week, the Lady Jags soccer team hosted regional quarter-finals at home against Jensen Beach High School on Thursday, February 5. They left with a Jaguar victory of 8-0.
The Lady Jags soccer team now stands with a record of 13-2-2 and is ranked #25 in the state of Florida and #39 in the nation. This week, they competed in regional semi-finals against Archbishop McCarthy High School on Wednesday, February 11 @6pm.

Jaguars basketball back for revenge
The Jaguars varsity basketball team went 2-0 this week as they competed in the district tournament. On Wednesday, February 4, they competed against Dillard High School in District Semi-Finals and advanced to district finals with a win of 66-40. Then, they faced off against Plantation High School in district finals and were crowned district champions after a Jaguar victory of 67-54.
The Jaguars currently hold a record of 17-6 and are ranked #1 in Class 5A in the state of Florida. Their next game will be in the regional tournament, and the dates and opponents have not been announced yet.

Shooting for success: Lady Jags basketball
The Lady Jags basketball team went 1-1 last week as they competed in two home games. On Monday, February 2, they faced off against Plantation High School and left with a January victory of 71-11. Then they concluded their season against Dillard High School on Tuesday, February 3, and lost the game 12-81.
The Lady Jags basketball team has ended its season with a final record of 7-11, as they do not have any more games scheduled.
Dominating the waters: Lady Jags water polo
The Lady Jags water polo team was scheduled to roar into the spring season last week, as they had two away games scheduled, yet they got postponed to a later date.
This week, they officially splash into season as they are away against South Broward High School on Tuesday, February 10 @5pm. Then, they are away again on Wednesday, February 11 @6:30pm against St. Andrews High School.

The Jaguars water polo team was scheduled to roar into the spring season last week, as they had two away games scheduled, yet they got postponed to a later date.
This week, they officially splash into season as they are away against South Broward High School on Tuesday, February 10 @6pm. Then, they are away again on Wednesday, February 11 @7:30pm against St. Andrews High School.
Chasing every point: Jaguars tennis
The Jaguars Tennis team is scheduled to roar into the spring season this week as they have three games scheduled. On Monday, February 9 @4:30pm, they are the home team as they face off against Cardinal Gibbons High School. This is followed by two away games. The first is against Blanche Ely High School on Tuesday, February 10 @4:30pm. Then, they compete against Taravella High School on Thursday, February 12 @4:30pm.
Jaguars varsity baseball swinging through the season
This week, the Jaguars swing into the spring season as they have two games scheduled. The first is at home against West Broward High School on Tuesday, February 10 @6:30 pm. This is followed by an away game against University School High School on Wednesday, February 11 @6pm.
Jaguars JV Baseball Ready to Roar
This week, the Jaguars JV baseball team roars into the spring season as they have a double header scheduled for Saturday, February 14, against Barbara Goleman High School @10am and @12:30pm.
