Lady Jags on the Prowl
The Lady Jags kicked off the season with two preseason games against cross-town rivals Archbishop McCarthy and Nova University School. Heading up against the Mavericks since defeating them in Regional Semifinals last season, the Lady Jags came up short 1-0.
Bouncing back quicker than ever just 48 hours after a close and tough defeat, the Lady Jags came up victorious 1-0 versus Nova. The Lady Jags start their season AWAY @Cooper City on WEDNESDAY, November 13. Then, another rival game against WEST BROWARD @HOME on Thursday, November 14th.
Boys Soccer Protecting the Den
The Jaguars headed into Firebird territory for a preseason matchup on October 30th, unfortunately, a defeat at the end. Leading 2-0 at the half, the Jags fell short. Serving a wake-up call for the start of the season as the boys faced off against Ronald Reagen LAST Wednesday, November 6th. Winning the match 4-2, Senior captain Logan Hall netted a hat trick.
Creating fast momentum against St. Thomas Aquinas, with the motto “Protect the den” always in the back of the minds of the Jags. They rallied back up from a 2-0 deficit, scoring twice in the last ten minutes of the match. Ending in a tie, the Jaguars have defended the den for their first home game of the season.
Following up to this TUESDAY, November 12th, another tough match that ended in a tie. A strong lead at the half was scored by Logan Hall. The Jags did let up a goal which forced them to END off with a record of 1-0-2. They are now heading up against Cooper City THIS Wednesday, November 13th.
Defending the State Title: Boys Basketball
The defending 5A State champs return their season NEXT TUESDAY, November 19th. They are going up against Stoneman Douglas @HOME. Having a doubleheader the first week into the season, the Jaguars go into Western Wildcat territory NEXT WEDNESDAY. This season is another highly anticipated, as Coach Roca and the Jags look for a back-to-back state title.
Shooting for Success: Girls Basketball
Shooting for high hoops this season, the Lady Jags start their season NEXT TUESDAY, November 19th. They will be going up against Stoneman Douglas for their HOME opener. They will then continue off their season WEDNESDAY to play against the Western Wildcats.
