Windows rolled down, the sun shining, wind whipping your hair around…a perfect summer day for many. But there’s one thing missing–the perfect summer playlist blasting through your car’s speakers! More specifically, that one specific song that you hum to yourself while cleaning, bop your head to in the car, and can’t get out of your head. Whether they’re oldies-but-goodies or new releases, pop or hip-hop, or mellow or vibrant, the songs students have on repeat over the summer are there for a reason. Here are just a few of them:

“I listened to “Father Stretch My Hands” by Kanye West and Ye because I love the lyrics like ‘beautiful morning’. It’s also very motivating.”– Sophomore Valentina Mesa

“My favorite song to listen to over the summer was “Tarot” by Bad Bunny, it’s upbeat and a fun song to listen to.” – Sophomore Santiago Delgado 

“‘Locked Out of Heaven’ by Bruno Mars [is my favorite summer song] because it is an uplifting song you can vibe to–perfect for summer.” – Junior Mia San Angelo

“I liked the song ‘I Ain’t Worried’ by OneRepublic. It was one of my favorite songs to listen to over the summer.” – Junior Annabelle Rodas
