As the final day of the 2025-2026 Spirit Week rolls around on Oct. 24, Pembroke Pines Charter High School (PPCHS) students come together to dress as dynamic duos or even trios and show off their matching outfits. Whether dressed as Robin and Batman or Alvin and the Chipmunks, each student demonstrated their excitement for their last Spirit Week costume.

Multiple students participated in Dynamic Duo Day, bringing a variety of characters to the school with each costume. Every student unites to highlight their attire with unity, showing off the very friendships they share.

The three PPCHS sophomore friends, Chloe Chu, Soniya Nelson, and Noah Mercado, all dressed as the famous Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger.

“This was one of my favorite days out of this year’s Spirit Week,” says Nelson. Mercado added, “This day has always been a classic in Spirit Week; I’m glad they kept the tradition this year.”

Although a couple of students didn’t participate, the cafeteria’s runway is open again during A and B lunches so that students can show off their outfits. The runway had a diverse set of costumes: Stitch and Angel, Princess Peach and Mario, and even the minions from Despicable Me.

Each student wore a different outfit, making it almost impossible to spot a match. However, there were multiple outfits of “Thing One” and “Thing Two” from The Cat in the Hat that were frequently spotted. The student body was excited to see the different costumes and creativity each student at Charter brought.

“It was really nice to see multiple other people dressed as ‘Thing Ones,’” says PPCHS sophomore Giulia Melendez, who matched with her friend, Isabella Jaramillo, increasing the “Thing” population.

Spirit Week is ending with a bang, highlighting the creativity and imagination of each student at PPCHS. As the year continues, students bid their farewells, and although Spirit Week 2025-2026 comes to a close, Charter students are excited and ready for next year’s themes.
