The NFL’s preseason has been full of both exciting moments and breakthrough players. Draftees such as Cam Ward, Travis Hunter, and Will Campbell have quickly emerged as top players on both their team and in the entire league, while already established veterans like Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen are shaping up to dominate once more. Fans are looking forward to what comes during this season in the NFL, including many students from Charter. Here’s what some students at PPCHS predict and think will happen this season.
“ I think that the Bills will make the playoffs as the AFC East is still their division to lose. [On the other hand], the Titans won’t make the playoffs this year, as they finished with three wins last season and landed the first overall pick and drafted Cam Ward. Drafting Cam Ward proves they are rebuilding and looking to the future. With their current team, they are years out from any playoff contention as of now.” – Junior, Bryce Bell
“ I believe that the Ravens are going to make it big this [year]. This is due to the fact that they have Lamar Jackson, and it’s his make-or-break season, having a better defense now.” – Junior, Malik Jean-Baptiste
“The Detroit Lions will win the bowl because no other team can stop the interior threat of [Jameson Williams] and Amon Ra.” – Junior, Dylan Jones
“I think that the Buffalo Bills are going to make the playoffs because they have reigning MVP Josh Allen, and they are in a weak division that is only slowly getting stronger.” – Sophomore, Aaron Sorenson
“[I think] the Baltimore Ravens are going to make a run in the playoffs. The only reason they lost [last year] is because Mark Andrews sold the entire game with a fumble, wrong routes, and even dropping the game-winning catch. They had a good draft, drafting some key players, and I think that this is Lamar’s comeback season.” – Junior, Omari Coulborne
“My favorite team is the Detroit Lions, but honestly, the Raiders are currently looking like they could make a good playoff run.” – Senior, Demarco Pitter
“I think the Chiefs are gonna win a ton of games because I’m pretty sure they will pay off the refs.” – Senior, Isabella Ablhasef
“I think the Bills are probably gonna win [The Super Bowl]. The team is strong as a whole, but with Josh Allen, they have an offense that other defenses can’t really predict or compete with.” – Freshman, Juan Bustamante
