As the first period bell rings, the Jags realize that they are back on campus for the new school year. For some of the Jags, this bell does not just symbolize school starting, it symbolizes the beginning of the fall sports season. Jaguar’s fall sports include Football (aka the Jag Boyz), Girl’s Volleyball, Cross Country and Swimming.
Lady Jags securing the net
The Lady Jags are on the hunt for a triumphant season with high hopes. Next week, the Lady Jags Volleyball spikes into their season at their home opener on Monday, August 18. This is followed by another home game on Thursday, August 21.
Jag Boyz Football kicking off the pre-season classic
On Thursday, August 15, the Jag Boyz kicked off pre-season at home in the pre-season classic. The game was a nail biter and a battle between the defenses. The game ended with a final score of 7-7.
Junior Quarterback Trent Beesing connected with Senior Wide Receiver Michael Akinbenje for the first and only touchdown of the game for the Jags. After the touchdown, Senior Kicker Caysen Chevannes scored an extra point for the Jags.
The Jag Boyz kick off their first official game of the season at Northeast high school on Friday, August 22 @6:30 pm. Their home opener is set to be on Friday, August 29 @6 pm against Coral Spring Charter high school.
Jag’s swimming to success
The Jags are swimming into their season with high hopes and expectations for this year. Their first official meet of the season is on Wednesday, August 27th @6 pm at Nova High School. While their home opener is on Thursday, September 4th @7 pm.
Jag’s Cross Country sprinting into the season
Mile after mile, the Jag’s Cross Country team is proving that the sport is not just about speed, but it is about the pride that comes with being a Jag. The Jag’s sprint into their first meet of the season on Tuesday, September 2nd.
