Wrapping up his senior year at Pembroke Pines Charter High School, Logan Hall is closing a chapter that redefined who he is on and off the soccer field. A standout forward and team captain, Hall recently committed to continue his athletic and academic career at Jacksonville University, where he’ll compete at the NCAA Division I level.
Jacksonville University, a private institution located in Northeast Florida, is home to the Dolphins, a program with a long-standing presence in the ASUN Conference. Known for its emphasis on player development and a competitive edge in collegiate soccer, JU presented the opportunity Hall had been working toward for years.
He explained that Jacksonville offered “the best package for soccer” and gave him the freedom to shape his athletic path. “The coach really persuaded me,” Hall added. “I love the campus, and I think he can help me grow collectively as a person and an athlete.”
That mindset of always striving for growth has defined Hall’s story. After transferring from St. Thomas Aquinas to Pines Charter ahead of his senior year, he entered a new environment with high expectations. The transition pushed him out of his comfort zone, but it also brought out the best in him.
“Transferring to Pines Charter helped me grow as a player and person. It taught me to adapt to change and that not everything is going to go my way,” he said. “I had to develop new relationships, be around new people, and strive in uncomfortable situations. On the field, I usually play defense, but I played striker-I did what was best for the team and put the team before me.”
His adaptability paid off. In just one season, Hall made a major impact. He helped lead the team to an undefeated regular season and helped push the Jaguars into the state final four. Along the way, he recorded 20 goals and 14 assists and was named the Miami Herald’s Broward County 5A–7A Boys Soccer Player of the Year, one of the most prestigious honors for high school soccer players in South Florida.
While Hall is focused on what’s next, he’s also not rushing to forget what this season meant to him.
“It was a great experience. Amazing, spectacular, and all other words of that nature. I wouldn’t have wanted it to go any other way,” he said. “I loved the family at Pines Charter, being captain, and helping the underclassmen grow as players and as people.”
As he prepares for college, Hall isn’t entering as someone waiting to prove he belongs. He aims to step in with clear goals and the same energy he brought to Pines Charter. “My biggest goal at Jacksonville is to start most of my games,” he said. “I want to get minutes as a freshman, keep developing each year, and hopefully be Freshman of the Year. I just want to become a better version of myself every season.”
Still, he’s quick to acknowledge the people who helped him get to this point. “I want to thank Coach Mark,” Hall said. “He brought me into the club at Supreme FC and at Pines Charter, helped me adapt, gave me confidence, and helped me get recruited to Jacksonville. A lot of this wouldn’t have been possible without him.”
Though the commitment is official. For Logan Hall, the journey is just getting started.
