As the school year is coming to a close, the class of 2028 decided to host a fundraising event in which underclassmen were able to purchase a “Lucky Duck” for a senior of their choice. Sold during both A and B lunch, these Lucky Ducks were two dollars each, including a rubber duck and a note to the senior.
Freshman Senator Shryia Sardesai explains the purpose of these “Lucky Ducks”: “We wanted to have a fundraiser where friends and families of the seniors are able to celebrate them and their accomplishments, and wish them good luck for their futures.”
The goal for this fundraiser is that any money raised will go towards their senior prom. Considering that Charter has never seen an event like this, the class of 2028 is sure to have similar if not more fundraisers in the years ahead.
