Sabrina Briceno

“6th period. I’ve never seen a group of six people fight, cry, scream, yell, and still support each other…still love each other.” Sabrina Isabel Briceno. Venezuelan. Going to UF. Capricorn, and she says she’s “100%” a Capricorn. She’s success-hungry yet often a great support system. She gives her all to her personal goals, and she gives her all to others when they need a rock to lean on. Yet still, she’s unable to communicate her own emotions “properly.” And it may be because she always wants to see everything in “black and white.”  Regardless, she hopes to work on all that, to become emotionally strong on her own. She also hopes to stop thinking so much and to stop being so obnoxiously assertive “for no reason.” To stop being so trusting is another thing, but she’s always still somehow bound to give second chances anyway. The life motto that Sabrina follows, anyhow, is to “have your passions fuel your purpose.” And her passion is social justice, as she looks up to congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and activist Lilian Tintori. She aims to become a human rights attorney in a system that seems to focus on pleasing the majority, wealthy, and privileged, wishing to protect those who aren’t typically stood up for. And eventually, in becoming this social justice warrior, Sabrina will perhaps continue to keep tabs with her hobbies of makeup and astrology. She’ll live in some nice penthouse in the northeastern part of America that has all four seasons, being a married woman with maybe no kids, no pets, and a husband who’s equally motivated in his work. Charter support team: debate team, Jayme, Christian, Ariana, Meril, Melia. Favorite show: Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Favorite artist: Jake Scott. Advice for charter underclassmen: “Work hard and focus on school. High school is fun…but you should always be working hard on your school work.”
