First Quarter Wraps
School Response Quoteboard

“With online learning, I feel like I am in a much more comfortable environment at home. However, I’m not used to constantly staring at a screen all day, and I feel as if it’s a bit less hands on. I haven’t seen my peers either. Overall, this quarter of online school has remained beneficial considering the pandemic, and thankfully is much more organized. Even with the technological issues I experience once in a while, I am still thankful to be able to navigate throughout online resources diligently.” -Devadarshini Dhandapani, Freshman
“The first quarter of online school was okay, to say the least. I was able to get more sleep, and I’m able to do schoolwork on the go if necessary. However, I face lots of technological challenges. With glitches, WiFi crashes, and overheating, sometimes I’m not even able to attend online classes. However, I’d rather be safe than sorry with online school.” –Alyssa Chin, Junior
“I think the first quarter of online school was above my expectations. I was originally worried about organization, and if I was able to learn to the fullest extent. But, I definitely feel more comfortable at a home-environment, and am able to navigate through my courses easily. Admittedly, I do face technical difficulties once in a while. However, I didn’t expect online school to be flawless, so I wouldn’t say I’m extremely disappointed. Online school was a much more different experience than I originally thought it would be.” –Hana Bushra, Freshman
“The first quarter of online school had its ups and downs. There were some unexpected benefits to online classes, such as classes starting later in the morning. However, it has been hard for many people, myself included, to stay motivated and organized. Doing school at home by myself can be lonely and make it hard to keep up the motivation to study harder and try my best on assignments. I also rarely have the opportunity to talk to my friends unless we get coincidentally placed in the same breakout group. Only being able to see my friends through screens gets to me sometimes, but I know one day I will be able to hug them again like before.” –Mia Keegan, Freshman
“After doing the final quarter of online school last year, I expected school to be very disorganized. But, after doing this for a couple weeks I can say, they’re being very organized.” –Joshua Acevedo, Sophomore
“Online school is hard for me because it’s easy to get distracted in a home environment. Siblings, easier access to a phone, and house responsibilities have made me lose focus throughout the day.” -Alyssa Dsouza, Sophomore
“I have to admit, I didn’t want to go online for my sophomore year, but it has a big perk: I get to stay home and spend time with my family a lot more.” -Trisha Villanueva, Sophomore
