Welcome back, Jaguars! Thank you for tuning in to week eleven of The Claw, fall sports edition. Last week was an eventful one as many of our Jaguar athletic programs competed in several games. Let’s get straight into last week’s athletic report, as the fall sports season is wrapping up and the winter sports season is now beginning.  

 

Lady Jags securing the net

Last week on Wednesday, October 22, the Lady Jags varsity volleyball team concluded their season in the regional quarterfinals. The Lady Jags faced off against Lourdes Academy and lost the game with a score of 0-3. The Lady Jags have officially ended their season and stand with a final record of 11-9.

 

Jag Boyz football is roaring through the season

On Thursday, October 23, the Jag Boyz concluded their season at home against Hallandale High School. The Jaguars lost the game with a final score of 20-34, ending their season with a record of 2-8. 

 

Jags swimming to success

Last week, the Jags swim team had a bye week, which means that they did not compete in a meet. On Tuesday, October 28, they are scheduled to compete in districts, and the meet will take place at Miami Dade College North Campus. 

 

Jags Cross Country sprinting through the season

Last week, on October 21, the Jags cross country team competed in a meet at Quiet Waters Park. This week, the Jags do not have a meet scheduled yet; their next one is a part of districts and is scheduled to take place on November 6. 

 

Boys Soccer Protecting the Den

The fall season is coming to an end, and the winter season is beginning. The Jaguars boys varsity soccer team is back on the field and ready to protect the den after ending last season at the state semifinals and with a final record of 18-1-2. Their home opener takes place next week on Tuesday, November 4, @5pm against Cooper City High School.

 

Lady Jags on the Prowl

The Lady Jags varsity soccer team is back on the prowl for the upcoming winter season. After ending last season at the regional semifinals with an 11-6 record, the Lady Jags are back for a revenge season. Their home opener takes place next week on Tuesday, November 4, @7pm against Cooper City High School.
