To the excitement of many Marvel fans, a new Spider-Man movie is in the works. With a cast that includes major actors like Mark Ruffalo, John Bernthal, and the returning star Tom Holland, fans have already begun speculating about what this could mean for the film. Fueling the fire, Marvel has launched its advertising campaign, releasing two teasers on YouTube. With curiosity and expectations rising for the movie, here are the predictions of Pembroke Pines Charter High School students:
“The new villain, Scorpion, doesn’t seem like that much of a threat to Spider-Man, considering he fought Thanos. Most likely, Scorpion will kidnap his ex-best friend or ex-girlfriend to even the odds. Still, I’ll sleep during the movie like I always do.” – Nicholas Lopez, sophomore.
“I think that the new Spider-Man movie is going to be good. Disney [should] be learning from their latest batch of movies [to] avoid making mistakes, [especially since] Spider-Man movies are hard to mess up.” – Noah Lopez, sophomore
“I predict the movie writers are going to get [MJ] and Spider-Man back together somehow. Also, there is going to be a big plot twist, like the villain will know it’s Peter Parker under the mask.” – Jocelyn Roldan, senior
“I think that for half the movie, Spider-Man will try to get back with MJ, and the other half, [he] will be fighting a villain like Scorpion.” – Aaron Santiago, senior
“It’s going to be about another villain that he has to defeat, just like all the other Spider-Man movies. The plot [probably] won’t really change. I’m sure the ending scene will be that he [beats] the villain and his girlfriend remembers him.” – Angelika Campos, senior
