With the end of the 2024-2025 school year creeping closer, the seniors’ graduation day is near. Many movie production companies have released their own films about graduation to celebrate the milestone, bringing joy and tears of happiness to people’s eyes.

The seniors of Pembroke Pines Charter revealed their favorite graduation movie to be High School Musical 3: Senior Year. The film is well-liked as it recalls themes of following your dreams and friendship. 

High School Musical 3 (HSM3) is focused on Troy, Gabriella, and their group of friends facing tough decisions about college and the future, as their senior year at East High comes to a close. The students put together a Spring musical reflecting their experiences, hopes, and fears. 

Senior Adrianna Lopez shared, “I don’t know many graduation movies, but my favorite one would definitely be High School Musical 3: Senior Year. It truly is just such a great movie.” 

HSM3 shaped many childhoods by sharing relatable experiences about the celebration of growth, expressing yourself through music or dance, and feeling a sense of belonging. The film gave emotional closure to the beloved trilogy and it made high school seem magical and exciting. 

Senior Chloe Correa expressed, “High School Musical 3: Senior Year is by far my favorite graduation movie with the characters and the plot.”
