From a young age, two Lady Jags Flag Football team seniors knew what they were: athletes. After all the hard work, dedication, and commitment, Ava Rivera and Jocelyn Garcia have decided to continue their academic and athletic career at the collegiate level, officially signing their letter of intent on April 16th.
Rivera will compete at the Division 2 level, playing women’s basketball and flag football for Lees McRae College. Garcia will compete at the NAIA level while playing women’s flag football for Ottawa University.
Rivera’s leadership as a quarterback and Garcia’s leadership as a wide receiver helped lead the Lady Jags to the state championship in 2024, finishing their postseason as state runner-ups. The mark left on the field at Pines Charter by these two will forever be remembered in Jaguar history.
