Continuing tradition of always celebrating the graduating seniors on the last home game of the season. The Lady Jags flag football team did just that March 18th. With a strong season start of 5-1 record, continuing a four game winning streak.
The Lady Jags honored the three graduating seniors of the class of ‘25, Sylena Gilbert, Joceyln Garica, and Ava Rivera. These three young women have shown their talents to the national stage, being invited to play for NFL Pro Bowl High School flag football showcase.
Heading against Cypress Bay the game unfortunately ended in a tough 6-0 loss to the Lightning. An unfortunate ending with a defeat the underclassmen made sure to continue to bring a smile to seniors faces.
With two of the senior leaders being committed to play at the next level, Joceyln has committed to Ottawa for flag football. While Ava Rivera has committed to Lees McRae College to continue her dual student athlete run, basketball and flag football.
The Lady Jags continue to aspire as they head to the postseason.
