Inside the dark room
A dim, yellow light comes from an oil lamp
In the corner, are singing voices of men being heard all around
Instruments being played
And men chattering amongst themselves
The room spinning in millions of different ways
With wine glasses put on a table
The smell of beer and smoke engulfing the air inside the room
In the middle
Lies a man
With beer in a wine glass
He wants the room to “stop” for just a moment
How can one feel alone if there are so many people in a room?
Contemplating his life choices
Not aware of all that is happening around him
But he looks to the left seeing the man with a cigarette in his hand
The sound of laughter grows around him
As he feels an overwhelming amount of sadness engulfing him
Like how the smell of beer and smoke filled the air inside the room
As he leaves the room
Tears form within his eyes
Thinking how unmanly it is for a man to cry
He starts to think back to the cigarette
Ash falling from the cigarette
Slowly chipping away
His soul leaving his body
Slowly chipping away
