PPCHS’s Forza Stefano Club hit all the right notes at their first karaoke night event, raising money for a worthy cause. Held in the cafeteria on Jan. 21, the event welcomed students of all grades to showcase their vocal talent.
The afternoon featured countless renditions of 2000’s hits like “Ice Ice Baby” by Vanilla Ice, as well as newer songs such as “From the Start” by Laufey. Whether it was a confident solo performance or a group act, Charter students made sure to bring their energy and enthusiasm to the stage.
The event’s highlight came when PPCHS science teacher Mr. Bolanos delivered a spirited rendition of country hit “I Had Some Help” by Morgan Wallen and Post Malone. His performance had the crowd clapping along and cheering, as students got to see Bolanos’s musical side
“Our goal was to create a fun, welcoming event where everyone could let loose and enjoy themselves,” said Forza Stefano Club President Alessandra Moreno. “Seeing everyone singing, laughing, and cheering each other on was great! “At the end of the event, the judges chose Carmine Young, Nani Hawkins, and Isabella Abohasen as the grand prize winners for their outstanding performances. Each winner received their own karaoke machine along with a gift card.
The karaoke competition served as a fundraiser for Forza Stefano, a club dedicated to supporting children and teens battling cancers. Proceeds from this event will be donated to families of patients in need, supporting the club’s efforts to make a difference.
The afternoon offered students both musical talent and a great time, all while they got to support a meaningful cause. The club says they plan to continue hosting similar events to bring the school together and further their cause.
