As sweater weather season arrives, the air is filled with magic and joy, and students at PPCHS can’t help but share their love for holiday music. From the sweet beats to the nostalgic memories brought from the seasonal music, the season is filled with happiness. Some Charter students have favorite songs because of certain childhood memories, or family transitions. From “Jingle Bell Rock” to “All I want for Christmas is You,” festive music is the soul of the season. Here are some of Charter’s favorite holiday songs:
“I really like ‘Santa Baby’ by Laufey because of the cute vibe of the song, and it gives White Christmas vibes.” –Freshman, Sabina Bonbam
“My favorite holiday song is ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’ because I have listened to this song every Christmas since I was young.” –Sophomore, Josiah Knight
“When it comes to holiday songs, ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ by Mariah Carey is my favorite. The vibes are just so joyful and festive, [and] I love singing my heart out with friends!” –Sophomore Gabby Ganen

“My favorite holiday song is definitely ‘Silent Night.’ It reminds people of the reason why we have Christmas, and the song is a good reminder that Christmas is all about Jesus.”-Senior, Ty Bell
