On Wednesday, November sixth, hundreds of PPCHS students gathered around the River of Grass Auditorium ready to compete in the Mu Alpha Theta scavenger hunt. Groups of three raced around the PPCHS campus while testing their math skills and solving challenging mathematical equations.
There were eight stations scattered around the campus, which included intricate math problems that were based on each team’s math class. Upon finishing, everyone was rewarded with a refreshing drink, a tasty snack, and extra credit for their respected math classes. The ultimate winners of the scavenger hunt were three students enrolled in AP Calculus; Maria Estrada, Lucas Aronson, and Annabelle Acevedo who all won a $75 prize. This annual event was yet another success for the Mu Alpha Theta club.

The Mu Alpha Theta Scavenger Hunt was indeed a success. This was my first ever year doing it as a Freshman and it was lots of fun. I think its a great way to have fun but also be doing math.
