Lights, camera, action: “Live from Hollywood, it’s Dancing With The Stars!”As fall slowly creeps in, a new moment in the entertainment industry has arrived.
Dancing With The Stars is a ballroom dancing competition where contestants—most being celebrities—showcase their dancing skills. At the beginning of the show, they are paired with a professional dancing partner who serves as their mentor. Every year during fall, viewers at home wait anxiously to see who will be put to the ballroom dancing test in that year’s lineup. For this year, the list of celebrities was released on the news show Good Morning America.
At Charter, the grand reveal only added more excitement for what is to come this upcoming season.
“I am very excited to see what all the different dancers will bring to the stage. Every pair has their own unique style and it will be very exciting to see how they work their choreography. My favorite star in this year’s lineup is Jenn Tran.” -Valentina Glen, Freshman
“I saw that they’ve got some Olympians in the lineup, like… Clark Kent and the lady on the rugby team [Ilona Maher]. I think that will be cool. It’ll be fun to see if they can do just as well as they did in their respective sports as they do in the ballroom!” -Isabella Abohasen, Junior
“I don’t normally watch the show, but I’m excited to see what dance themes they use this year, like the Disney theme. I think that Stephen Nedoroscik is going to do really good because he can do all of those flips, and I wonder if he will do it while dancing.” -Ciara Epstein, Junior
“I don’t really know any of the ‘stars,’ but I like Stephen Nedoroscik! I’m also really excited for, I don’t know their names, but it’s this tall guy and a short girl, and I’m really excited for that one because I think it will be really cute.” -Isabella Milian, Junior
