The next few years for Disney fans is going to be exciting. During a recent Disney D23 fan convention showcase in Anaheim, California, on August 9th-11th, the following movies were unveiled to fans: Moana 2, Zootopia 2, Toy Story 5, Lilo and Stitch live-action, and other Disney movies. Many of these movies are sequels and have fans excited for what’s next; Moana is expected to take to the seas again (Moana 2), Judy Hops and Nick Wild are together once again to crack a new case (Zootopia 2); Woody, Buzz, and all the toys are against a new threat: technology (Toy Story 5), and Lilo and Stitch is going to be a live-action remake of the classic animated version.
As the movies come closer and closer to release starting next year, students are itching for these movies to bounce back into popularity so that they can relive their childhood for a couple of hours. Here are Charter’s most anticipated Disney movies:
“I’m most excited for Moana 2 because it has The Rock in it.” – John Abohasen, Freshman
“I’m excited for Toy Story 5 because, when I first came to this country, Toy Story was the first movie I watched and really understood. It also reminds me of home.” – Zahid Mondol, Sophomore
“Lilo and Stitch live action, I know, is going to be so good. I love the original animated movie, so seeing Stitch more lifelike is so exciting.” – Mariam Ruiz, Sophomore
“I’m the most excited for Moana 2, Incredibles 3, Snow White (Live Action), and Zootopia 2 because I feel like it is going to bring me back to when I was little.” – Sofia Mejia, Junior
“When I watched Zootopia, I loved seeing all the animals in their own world. Watching Zootopia 2 will be like reliving that experience, but hopefully with an even more exciting case for Judy and Nick to solve.” – Sophia Asis, Senior
“I’m excited to see the second Moana movie because I really liked the first one, and I’m looking forward to seeing what they do with it.” – Hannah Flores, Senior
