“Probably 2nd hour in Mr. Quigley’s class…bro we just vibed, and even Mr. Quigley would get in on the jokes too. Dominique Emelia Evans. Jamaican. Going to UCF. Scorpio (sun, moon, mercury, AND venus), and in the way that she overanalyzes almost everything. Things that are not so deep can become things that she takes too seriously, especially when it comes to herself. She’s a sympathetic person but she can be “too intense” with her own emotions, and it can all lead her to putting herself down a lot of the time. Her life motto, therefore, is to “learn to laugh even in the hardest, most trying time,” especially as she realizes that there’s importance in simply loving and focusing on yourself. Nonetheless, Dominique loves to please others and make people laugh. She’s quite the joker kind. The only things she ever dislikes in other people is dishonesty and sometimes their tendency to put others down in order to make themselves look better (in academics, especially). But aside from that, she aims to generally help people. She hopes to study speech and language pathology, to assist kids with speech and hearing problems and kids on the autism spectrum. And for her future, Dominique also wishes to work on herself as well. She wants to become more in tune with her “beautiful” Jamaican culture, to not take everything to heart, to expand her knowledge (so she’s not ignorant on subjects), and to become a vegan “even when it’s not most convenient.” And so one day, she’ll perhaps accomplish these things and marry someone she can love and laugh with, live with a dog and cat, and own a good-sized minimalistic-style house with lots of plants (as she’d rather invest more in experiences like travel). Yet for now, Dominique’s into playing the flute and piano, playing soccer, and doing makeup as a “creative outlet.” Charter support team: Brianna Walters, Michael O., Ikenna, Oronde, Sofia M, Brianna A., Sophia R.
