With the 2023-2024 season approaching, the PPCHS Girls Basketball team begins their season with high hopes and determination. Returning stronger than ever, along with veterans and new recruits, the Lady Jags have their chance at going further than ever before this basketball season.
The girls have witnessed the coaches’ determination for growth this season, consuming the team with overwhelming determination. “Actually wanting to build a legacy for the girls charter team similar to the boys’ team,”, Morgan has high hopes for the coaching staff this year.
Despite the challenging matchups upcoming, Captain for the Lady Jags, Morgan Taylor believes her teammates will thrive this season. Full of optimism for the upcoming season, “we simply just need to stay focused throughout the season”
Morgan’s thoughts are running high into her final high school basketball season. Striving with her leadership and past experience, “Nobody expects us to be big this year, so it’s something that keeps [them] working harder than everyone else, and gives [them] an element of surprise when game time comes around”. Everyone has their goals for themselves, and goals for this team are seeming grand and sweet to be accomplished.
All in all, the season preparations are seeking new heights as the coaches spark with courage and their senior, Morgan Taylor, brings to the court what she does best: her skills and her leadership. For now, the girls basketball team dribbles their way to the starting position.
