“I love The Purge movies because it’s so scary to think about if what happened in the movies actually happened in real life, and [there are] also a lot of jump scares. I always watch them with my cousin, so it’s kind of a tradition at this point. My favorite is probably the second one, [The Purge: Anarchy].” – Giana Marte, Sophomore
“[My favorite horror movie is] Nightmare on Elm Street because that was Johnny Depp’s first movie when he started out in the industry, and I just love him.” – Elyse Temes, Junior
“Halloween is my favorite scary movie, because I think it’s just a classic, an original, and everyone knows Michael Myers, so I think it’s really fun to watch with other people especially.”
– Maria Cabrice, Freshman
“My favorite horror movie is Scream [1996] because I feel like you really can’t go wrong with watching it. The other ones are also good, but the original is the best, in my opinion.” – Paige McCarthy, Sophomore
“Terrifier, Jigsaw, and Chucky all scared the life out of me. So I would say those are my favorites.” – Monika Williams, Senior
“Child’s Play is definitely my favorite. It was the first horror movie I ever watched. As a kid, I loved Chucky, and I had all of the dolls, and I was even Chucky for Halloween for 3 years in a row, so I’ve just always loved it.” – Andre Arana, Junior
“My favorite has to be either Scream or the Friday the 13th movies. I love both of them, they’re both just really fun to watch. Scream was the first horror movie I ever watched, and I still love to watch it, it’s just a classic.” – Bella Garcia, Sophomore
“I saw The Shining when it came out in theaters, but I think I was too young. After I watched it, I was scared of hotels for the longest time!” – Mr. Bayer, Principal
“I’d say the Scream movies [are my favorite], because they’re so fun to watch with friends and it’s always just a good time.” – Caterina Montgomery, Freshman
