The members of our PPCHS Helping Hands United (HHU) came together for their first event on October 20 at the FSU campus to spend time with the aftercare students. Stacks of different colorful games were placed on the long tables that filled the lunch room. As children ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade rushed through the doors, their smiles shone throughout the entire room for the chance to play their favorite games with high school students.
Club President, Jacob Roman, enthusiastically exclaims, “I think this event had a really positive outcome. The kids all enjoyed it and so did the volunteers. In my opinion, it was worth it to attend because it made my day better, seeing that I made a positive impact on their day.” In these two hours, the room filled with laughter and tender jokes, bringing the children as much joy as it gave to the members of HHU!

It was fun to hang out with the children! Although to be accurate, it was only second graders that were in the cafeteria and we played games with.
