On October 6, the Class of 2026 student council rushed to the cafeteria to set up their very first event: The Sophomore Sundae Social. Large tubs of sweet vanilla and chocolate ice cream were scooped into many bowls placed all over the long tables. Gummy worms, sprinkles, whipped cream, marshmallows, and chocolate syrup were among the many sweets displayed and aligned on the table for whoever wished to top it in their sweet treat.
As the room started to fill up with students, the council greeted everyone who entered with a warm smile and a cold bowl of treats. Sophomore Class President, Emmanuel Baptiste, describes, “As President, alongside a wonderful group, I believe us starting off the year with the Sophomore Social was a good choice. It sets a positive tone for the year, encourages class unity, and hopefully gets our class excited for what’s to come.” This is only the start of a year filled with successful events that are sure to delight the Class of 2026!
