With the start of March, and the well awaited Women’s History Month, students across Charter share ways in which they are inspired by Women in sports, media, and more. Students at Charter were eager to share their picks for most inspirational women for this celebrated month, and discuss who has affected them and the type of impact they have had.

“The female artist that inspires me the most is Amy Winehouse. She was someone who didn’t  let other’s preconceived notions define her. I really admire the way she walked through the world and only did the things that spoke to her.” – Sophia Thonis Senior

“I am inspired by Emma Watson because I grew up watching her on the screen and she is a strong, empowering role model” -Ashley Feng Senior

“Serena Williams has always been one of my biggest inspirations for women in sports since as long as I can remember. Seeing a woman achieve so much and be so great is what inspires me to someday do the same.” -Nathalie Portillo Junior

“Mitski is an artist who inspires me, I really relate to her music.” – Sofia Grullon Junior
