Black Widow: Trailer, Release Date, and More

      If you enjoy action packed Marvel movies featuring superheroes such as comic book legends Iron Man, the Hulk, and Thor you will absolutely love the new movie Black Widow. In Marvel Studios’ the movie is based on Natasha Romonff, aka “Black Widow’, a trained spy, assassin, and superhero. Black Widow is played by Scarlett Ingrid Johansson who is an American actress and singer. She was the world’s highest-paid actress in 2018 and 2019, and has been featured multiple times on the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. Her films have grossed over $14.3 billion worldwide, making Johansson the ninth-highest-grossing box office star of all time. 

      Natasha was last seen starring in the Avengers movie Endgame where she met an untimely end saving the entire world by giving up her life. This upcoming movie provides more of a background on who she was in the past and how she became an “Avenger” one of Earth’s fiercest and formidable heroes. Senior Mackenzie Ahearn expresses that, “[She] can’t wait for this movie to hit theaters. [She has] watched all of the Marvel movies in the series and have really enjoyed them.” This action-packed spy thriller is where Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her past when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger. 

      Freshman Madison Smith states that, “Personally as a super Marvel fan [she is] thrilled that Black Widow is coming especially after what happened to her in the endgame. [She is] really excited and hopes with this movie it goes more into Natasha Romonoff’s mysterious past and how she became the superhero Black widow.” At Pembroke Pines Charter High School we have many super Marvel fans who can not wait for Black Widow to come out to theaters. Not only does the movie Black Widow showcase valuable information concerning her life before becoming Black Widow, the trailers have led audiences to believe that she does in fact have a family and goes in depth on why and how she became Black Widow. 

   Originally the movie was supposed to air in theaters last year in May 2020 however due to COVID-19 the movie has been pushed back. For this year, Black Widow is set to be released on the seventh of March. he movie airs in theaters March seventh  Said to be by critics one of the best “action packed movies that will be released this year” the previews so far has got everyone excited. Sophomore Amanda Roman says that, “Once [she]  saw the trailer on youtube [she] was immediately hooked, [she] typically do[es] not like any kind of Superhero movies however Black Widow seemed very exciting and [she] look[s] forward to seeing it in theaters.” This goes to show you do not have to be a raving Marvel fan to enjoy or be excited about the movie Black Widow. Overall, it can be said that all fans including students at charter can not wait for this movie to come out.
